ABOUT

ABOUT ME

I’m an enthusiastic practicioner – till this day I practice yoga, whether it’s hatha, yoga for the spine or ashtanga. I’ve mastered the basics at Mandala Yoga Studios, as the history of my continuing development can be linked to the Studio’s name. At first the stretching of my own borders and the continuous challenge attracted me to yoga – I just could not imagine a more exciting act than for example “feel convenient” if placed in a headstand position (shirsasana) or balance posture (virabadhrasana III). As a former journalist and editor of many magazines I made a lot of sedentary work before. That’s why I felt really attracted to yoga because of the possibility of correcting errors from this, strengthen myself and harmonize the functioning of my physical body. I experienced slowly to be aware of each of my cell, organ, body part, in one word, the whole of my physical body.

Observed during the acquisition of physical postures that a lot of concentration and a deeper self-knowledge came with them, and finally I’ve gained more understanding. To this day I am enchanted by the energy impact of yoga (whether you call it postures or meditation), which strength I experienced and still experience in all aspects of life. I am a mother of two – at their birth was yoga a great help: bring babies into the world, as well as the subsequent period. By the time I began to pay attention more on my pranayama practice. With its help I experienced the movement in the stillness and that way my practice fully unfolded. Yoga is an integral part of my life, I practice every day, either alone or in company – also together with my children, from their birth on. I then formulated that I likely would do yoga with children too, requiring other, more flexible attitude, a bit more playful way than teaching adults.

As masters of me, I see Sarolta Juhász and Gergely Németh. I applied to the Mandala Yoga Studios teacher trainings on the basis of their incentives. In my classes I try to gain attention to the correct body posture so I combine the elements of yoga for the spine with the more dynamic postures of hatha yoga and the unique energizing practice of pranayama. My goal is to make the 60-90 minute of yoga sessions very cheerfully and pleasant, while the participants are refreshed and even gain ideas which can enrich their own practice.
